Installation failure

I'm a long time user, was using npvr 4. something...    

It was taking a REALLY long time to run, like 15 min to open... so I decided to update to version 5.

I read through the documentation, looked easy enough.  I uninstalled npvr, deleted the folder...  and ran the install (found in the install thread).

I opened the config page (also found on that page).  I configured my tuner, and everything looked good, then nothing.  yep.. just nothing.

I unintalled / reinstalled about 4 times.  Still nothing.  Nothing launches.. I can't get anything to work.

Is there some sort of trouble shooting guide?  everything I see just doesn't work.  I have gone over dozens of threads, nothing has anything near this happening.  

Honest... Nothing now works, I can't launch the NPVRTray, nothing, absolutly nothing happens... I'm now feeling really dumb for removing version 4...  as it was super slow (which just started)... but at least it worked.

You must have seen threads where we ask for logs.  https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/get-help Because you don't have the browser working you wwill need to zip the folder up manually before attaching them.

Yep, what he said - zip the c:\users\public\NPVR-data\logs directory, and post it.

for some reason I can't see how to attach a file or image. ***fixed.. I figured out to upload the image

but in the /data directory I have
Scripts (folder)
Skin (folder)
turning (folder)
  config-master-don't-edit
  empty.db3
  genre-mapping
  keymappings
  xbmc-genre-translation

Thats it...  looking at all the other directories.. no logs .

The logs are in c:\users\public\NPVR-data\logs. They are not in the C:\Program Files\NextPVR directory tree--that's where the program itself is installed!

The logs are in c:\users\public\NPVR-data\logs. They are not in the C:\Program Files\NextPVR directory tree--that's where the program itself is installed!

sorry.. now I feel really dumb    k they are zipped and attached.

They still seem to be missing. Make sure it's zipped, otherwise your files will be ignored. (if it's too large, it also might not accept them)

sorry, yea.. tried a few times ..  realized a space might cause issues for linux/unix so I re attached it without the space.

Have you tried rebooting your PC? Also avoid EPG scanning until you get everything working and in general in North America it is a bad idea.

Yes, after un-installing - re-installing I rebooted several times... thinking that might restart something, nope.. nothing works now.  I did set up the channels the first time I installed 5.x it using the web link.. which now doesn't work..
