Locast - Guide Correct but wrong channel tuned

I seem to have a problem adding attachments.  Here are pics.

I suspect sub needs to make sure an extra merge uses the minor number as part of the match. Ultimately sub should allow extras to be configured with multiple instances so users don't need to worry about it.

Maybe your images are jpg you can always use imgur.com

Also sub should look at your logs as there are a few good examples of error with the NextPVR m3u8 download process after a stop which I have pointed out before.

I believe you referenced this issue and I still suspect the problem is automerging.  You need to unmerge the channel and the match them against the proper EPG channels

No that was a different problem with 9.1 and .2. As long as I map the channels before merging, that problem doesnt happen. When you scan both are named PBS. When you map they are changed to KQEDDT and KQEDDT2. Then when you merge both work fine.

This problen is the scan simply doesn't show 65.5 and the total numer of channels npvr scan sees is 1 less than the locast app. I've deleted the channels and rescanned numerous times and it is always short this channel. If there's a simple solution great. If not, it's no problem. I'm grateful for the channels I get.

Ok thanks. I suspect the merge issue would be solved if sub used major and minor for extras.

What is the callsign of the missing channel?

65.5 Laff is a sub channel of KKPX-TV owned by ION media group. 65.1 is the ION channel and it does show up in the scan.

It should work, did you try updating the extra file with

python locast.py extra

Careful updating extras to avoid getting duplicates.

Note there seem to be other changes on locast.org from the extra file you posted earlier, KRON is gone and Antenna has moved to 4.2

That did it. I didn't know about updating it. I rarely use the Locast app, but from now on I periodically check it for changes.
