Hi,

GBPVR works GREAT on my PC. I can watch LIVETV, change channels, no problem.

I get the GBPVR MENU on my TV, via the MPV. No Problem.

BUT trying to watch liveTV simply throws up the "No Tuners are available with the requested Channel" message.

1. I have disabled the two Hauppage Services.
2. I don't have GBPVR running on the PC, but the recording service is in the tray (not recording)3.
3. I have set the # of MPV servers in the GBPVR config set to "1", and I do not have the recording service duplicated in the Startup.

There must be something SIMPLE, surely, that I am doing wrong?
Any ideas?

Cheers,

k.

Sorry to drag this up again, but I now have TWO tuners, one PVR-150MCE and one Lifeview TVWalker.

I know both work as I tried them separately, and I looked at the gorecorder.grf after watching some LiveTV and it shows the Walker was used for that. At other times tonight lastgraph.grf shows the PVR-150 was used.

My problem is they do not seem to want to be used together. I always get the "No Tuners are available with the requested Channel" message.

I have two inputs (Tuner/S-video) for each device, and both devices, being different makes, are set to device #1 in the EPG.

Any ideas? I had a dekko at the logs and there are no obvious errors I can see, it just doesn't seem to want to know that I have TWO tuners. Stumped. Sad I attach a jpg showing the sleeping card (3 sleeping sources) and the one working (recording) one, plus the logs. Note these are from different sessions, as I checked that I could duplicate it, which I could).

k.
edit. Sorry, this is not specifically MVP related, but happens ALSO on the MVP, as well as the PC.
[EDIT] Removed LOGs to save Server Space

Just wanted to close this out and say :o "I think I fixed it", by first looking at the logs until I found an error, which had to do with a GO7007 device (My Lifeview Walker Mini) in GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and re-registering all the 7# Honest Tech codecs (see jpg) that get registered when you install the TVR program that comes with the Lifeview Walker.

Quote:27/09/2005 1:30:06 a.m..617 ERROR [149] StopRecordingLiveTV() encountered an error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. 27/09/2005 1:30:06 a.m..617 VERBOSE [149] at NativeUtilities.GO7007Recorder.StopRecording(Int32 board)
at GBPVR.Backend.Common.GO7007RecordingSource.stopRecording()
at GBPVR.RecordingService.RecordingManager.StopRecordingLiveTV(Int32 xeba3e20435eb0e32)
"So why didn't you just leave the TVR program installed", you may well ask, rather than register the codecs/mux manually? The reason is that with teh TVR installed, I always get a conflict error between GBPVR and "remote.exe" that gets installed with the TVR prog. So it's easier to just register the 7# codecs and mux manually and NOT install the TVR. More on that remote.exe error here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...remote.exe , in case anyone else is having fun with this.

Happy Smile
k.
