Setting Up VOD with Kodi 19.3

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction to enabling and accessing VOD on Kodi 19.3 using NPVR 5.2.2.211017 running on a Windows 10 machine.

I've enabled <SendVOD>true</SendVOD> and added <ImportVOD>true</ImportVOD> in the config.xml file. I've reimported the m3u playlist, and all VOD shows up in the web app and the npvr.db3 file.

From what I can tell, they should be showing up in Kodi, but even after clearing the cache in the Live TV and PVR settings, I still can't find VOD.

Is there anything I'm missing?

I'm not sure how well you'll get VOD working in kodi. The only way to get VOD in kodi is to treat VOD streams as regular TV channels, which means you end up with a ridiculous number of TV channels, the bulk of which are really just VOD streams. ie, this is unlike the preferred mode for VOD in NextPVR, where they're treated as a separate thing, and accessible vie the VOD page in the web app.

With things operating that way, it's very difficult to work with the VOD, since you can't really see them in your TV Guide or record them etc. It might be passable to watch them live, as long as you don't want to skip around etc.

Was it set this before you imported the channels?

sub: I did set the xml settings before I imported the channels. I've even deleted the npvr.db3 and reimported to make sure it's not a setting stuck in the old db.

Martin: I've included the log file from the latest import. Hopefully that will reveal something.

Also, could either of you suggest an alternative to view VOD on android? NextPVR does a great job with Kodi for live TV, and I wouldn't mind switching apps to view VOD if it would be easier.

I am not sure how NextPVR.exe handles VOD, but if UI client was passed an mkv or mp4 url it would be playable in uidroid and potentially seekable. Resume probably won't work.

Logs need to be zipped and and 2MB. The Kodi debug log can be sent to paste.kodi.tv and you can provide the link

The NextPVR zip file shows it's less than 2MB (~750KB). Should this be uploaded via paste.kodi.tv or is it even necessary?

You should be able to attach a zip file.

It looks like Kodi is having a hard time getting the group lists, but it also looks like you stopped the Kodi upload well before it was finished loading, it was on Bulgaria. With lots of channels and groups this time can be an issue. Do you know what groups your are in?

So, first check that the Settings->Channels page lists all your streams including your VOD streams. If so, and <SendVOD> is set to true, then Kodi should be getting all the streams.

I'm thinking this might be a sheer volume issue.

I've imported the entire channel list letting it load completely, and also just selecting the English groups, but there's no mention of VOD other than the VOD tab on the web interface. The Settings->Channels page doesn't include any VOD channels or groups, although it does download them when I add new device.

The only groups/channels that exist are the Live IPTV channels.

Ultimately it's up to your IPTV provider to decide what if any groups are used. ie, they might have one called "2 Broke Girls" for those shows, or they might choose to not have any groups at all.
