Kodi sometimes cannot play channels

I am starting to think it is the box itself which is why I suggested aderlopas look at the advancedsettings which are not defaults.

That unhandled exception is in core, and his 209MB is too large a buffer for video streaming.

Yeah, could be. It does sounds fairly large.

aderlopas, do you have another machine that runs Kodi? Can it do the same action without issue?

He told us he could run it from Windows with no problems.

I have removed all the cache tags from advancedsettings.xml from kodi plus a few more, and it finally works with 120 minutes. Although cache directives should not really be messing around with pvr cache (which has its own directives; https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=298106) they seem to affect the files creation. I have found some kodi threads (leia version; https://github.com/xbmc/vfs.rar/issues/59) discussing opening large files with cache was creating issues on android.

Ok great. The 2016 thread about the PVR cache is not relevant since there was extensive change to the PVR buffering in V18.

Don't forget to shorten your delay which was increased during the testing.

So you mean lower the prebuffer that is now set to 5.
