Skipping on UK recordings degraded in 211017

Ultimately, that's what the Unmanaged.dll I suppled was trying to address.

Lets have another go at that. Here is a newly built version of it.

well the patch runs (i've rolled back to 5.2.0 (210912) atm) and it has removed the additional LAC audio codec. I think it's better (I have limited access to TV atm and will need to test some more tomorrow) but there is still some slo-mo stuttering after a skip which I'm sure was never there in the past. Might it be related to all the OSD updates that it does after the skip?

I'll play around some more tomorrow, inc, moving back to 211017 release and disabling DEBUG for a bit.

the patch you provided above works with 5.2.0.210912 to prevent the extra audio codec being loaded but with Version: 5.2.2.211017 that patch doesn't work and the extra audio codec still loads (and I note, both HEAAC and ACC audio renderers) 
(Yes I copied into both folders)...

I also note that the sequence in which the decoders load is also different between the versions but I have no idea if this is of any significance.

I had a similar problem Sept/Oct only watching F1 recordings on Channel 4 in UK! It was as if the timing data disappeared after 10 - 20 mins. You seemed to be skipping forward but the moment you stopped you were returned back to the same point. I dont think I could even watch the recordings as I had to resort to watching on the web site. I made several test recordings on C4 and other channels but all played OK except F1 recordings. After about 3 problem race weekends I was about to report the problem but things returned to normal! However although I recorded the events last weekend I watched live so deleted the recordings! I use Martin's NextPVR New Client.

If you are watching in-progress in knewc and stop you will could lose the resume point, I don't think it that is the same problem.

There's nothing special about my recording being of F1 (and I hadn't realised the OP was reporting a problem with an F1 recording). That was just a test recording high up my list of recent recordings list and I was previously reporting the problem with an Episode of Later with Jools Holland (from BBC). It happens on all recordings (slow-mo stutter and lip sync problems for many seconds after skip) so not the same issue.

However, your symptoms are somewhat familiar to me. A few years back, I *did* start to experience problems similar to what you describe when skipping forward in an in progress recording using the windows client when it was a 2hr+ show (such as F1 or the Olympics). I have a vague memory that the problem started shortly after the release of the new TSMuxer but that would be a different problem for a different thread.

No change or improvement. the new release still picks up 2 audio renderers like before and I still get the lip sync and stuttering after a skip. oh and btw, this also happens on resume as well.
We're you wanting me to try the unmanaged.dll and nextpvrui patches that you included in this thread ? (I've not tried them yet)
