Channel 9 Group missing (Sydney)

Anybody else have problems in receiving the Channel 9 group of channels in Sydney?

I raised this about 18 months ago and gave up,  and got the Hauppauge WinTV app to do the job and it picks up all the channels.

The other day upgraded the WinTV app and decided to give the latest NextPVR go and see if the problem still existed.  All the channels of the Channel 9 group are still missing I thought the latest version would fix it 

Family members would prefer this rather the Hauppage app (horrible clunky subtitles)

Yep, along the lines of what Martin said - when you scanned, did you choose an Australia Sydney when scanning? Try either "Australia / All Frequencies", or "All Countries / All Regions".

ie, it's probably just a case of the frequency list being out of date for Sydney. If there is a Sydney user that wants to provide an updated .ini file, I'll update the master set included with NextPVR.

Tried all three found that "All Countries / All Regions" returned the most channels.  The Channel 9 group was missing from all three.

Unzip this ini file, and place it in C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\tuning\dvb-t, then restart NextPVR (or reboot), then try scanning "Australia / All Regions2".

If this doesn't help, post the logs after scanning.

But..
C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\tuning\dvb-t  didn't exist.
It all worked when that config file was put in
C:\Program Files\NextPVR\data\tuning\DVB-T

Another problem is the subtitles don't seem to be available.
Menu option Subtitle Stream only has submenu selections of Disabled and Teletex Subtitles [eng,page801] ..selecting either doesn't change anything.

The UK and Australia do a couple of things slightly different to the rest of the world with DVB-T, relating to frequency offsets. Most tuners have drivers that take care of it automatically. Yours must be one of those that doesn't. Glad to hear we found a fix though, by manually adding the offset.

The issue mentioned in that other post was fixed.

If you want to put a recording on onedrive/googledrive, and let me know the download link, I'll download it and check and fix if necessary.

More on the absence of subtitles. They don't exist for live & recording playback within NPVR. But they exist in the recordings and other media players display them.
Played the recording with Pot Player (the best I have found for subtitles)

The subtitles are working here for our channels in NZ.
