Ii noticed someone else had this issue as well and you asked for his log. Is there a particular log of mine that would be helpful to post here? This is happening for both 'Music Library' and 'Music Player'. Basically after ever song is completed, the MVP drops connection (i am assuming), 'Checks for Servers', and starts GBPVR with the main menu.

Thanks in advance.

Post your gbpvr.exe.log and I'll see if I can see anything obvious.

Here you are sub. This is from when i started to try to play the album to where it (MVP) 'resets' after the 1st song was finished playing. I usually use zone alarm, but i have it shut down for this test.

Sorry, I dont know. There isnt anything obvious in that log. It just looks like GB-PVR goes to send some information to the MVP, but finds that the MVP has disconnected.

Just out of curiosity, what type of song file are you trying to play. .mp3, .wma, .ogg? I know whenever I accidentally try and play a .m4a (aac) file over my mvp, I have to reboot the mvp.

Just .mp3's. It's funny, i used to have the problem with my MVP that if it sat idle for more then 1/2hr it would lose connection but playing music worked perfectly. Now the MVP doesn't lose connection sitting idle and my music doesn't play....oh well, happy with what does work....

I have the same issue at times as well but it's in multiple plugins as well as the stock TV Guide. Since upgrading to the latest version of GBPVR it hasn't occurred nearly as often if at all.

There might be a bit of risk in this but something I have found that can help stablity on a GBPVR + MVP setup (apart from extra ram) is using the latest .net beta. The number of dropped connections I'm geting has gone way down since I've upgraded. This seems to be because GBPVR is running faster and smoother (even when the PC is busy) . The MVP is therefore not hitting the 8 second response timeout limit.

Thanks, i gave it a try, but no change. It is slightly frustrating as i am sure it is something that can be tweaked, just a matter of what. Anyway, i will continue tinkering and hopefully stumble on something that gets it to work.
