Just updated to the new 0.2 ver without much problem. I like the few extra buttons and my DVD start almost immediatly. Thanks for the update.

I was wondering in the future will this be able to handle two or more MVP playing DVD at the same time? My network and CPU seems to be able to handle the transcoding without much problem.

and there was no vlc running?

The next release will auto detect the main title for the movie. If I get a chance I will post it today. Not all movies start off at title 0. Title 0 in most cases is previews and stuff.

hmmm, tipstir it sounds like you've got the wrong settings.xml edited cuz that's the defaults...copy the edited settings to all the skins and see if that fixes it..
i know i've done that a couple times already.
Jorm, any way to have settings file in the main gbpvr dir? that way no confusion as to which skin to edit and could change skins without having to copy the settings around to all skins after edits..

Just to confirm it works via the pvr350 tv-out!! Image quality is in my opnion better than via my graphics card tv-out.

I did find problems with several dvd's. The transcoding started, but stopped at a certain time. Playing an iso (only tested on one) gave a command window with an error: "sleep is not recognised as an internal command" or similar message.

Do you plan on implementing support for the menu's?

Greetz and thanks!

I think menus are out unless vlc makes it really easy. As for the play for a while then stop I think it has to do with the title. That should be fixed in the next release with auto detection of main title.

Sleep not found. XpPro does not have sleep?

Windows server 2003 does not have sleep. I had to take this out of my script too.

just a teaser for what will be released tomorrow in the next version.

* wrote an installer no more unziping mess.
* installer will not override settings.xml
* if dvddrive and daemon tools drive can not be found in settings.xml
will use the gbpvr one in config.xml
* show runtime for main movie title
* can hit ctrl-r on the title to decrement by 10
* fixed the bug with .. can now browse other drives.
* added title detection in its own thread.
* add mouse support for the 6 buttons on the left.
* add logic for multiple mvps, till I have time to test it or someone
can help me ( 2 mvps not needed). You must enable it manually in the
settings.xml

to test multimvp
in the settings create a entry in

/settings/MultiMvpMode

<MultiMvpMode>true</MultiMvpMode>

It will create a file called c:\temp-MVPXXXX.mpg

it will also create a file called

c:\temp-MVPXXXX.mvp which contains a process id for the associated vnc.
So we can kill it, without affecting the other mvp users. Not a big
deal since most people dont have the processing power to transcode two
streams at once..

Jorm,

Very cool tool. However, WHY do you need to build this DVD.MPG file? I thought GBPVR could read DIVX and MPEG2.

Can XDVD play multiple movies? Will they all be DVD.MPG because THAT would be a problem. I am setting up a 5 MediaMVP system at home.

Also, how can I default to a video folder? I have my movies in a low level directory and I have to constantly nav. down to there. Your tool always defaults to C:\

Also, would it be faster to have ISO files or DVD folders(Audio/Video) from a ripper. I use DVDShrink to rip my movies...I can rip to either ISO or Folder format.

Thanks!

Great TOOL DUDE! U ROCK!
