You only should have deleted the 71 byte files hopefully you didn't make things worse.  You weren't losing art NextPVR wasn't returning the art you have.

Well, I'll go into my recycle bin and restore all the files that were not 71 bytes.  My display in File Explorer doesn't list bytes and I don't know how to make it do that.

I'm away for a couple of days, but if you're still having the issue after that, bump the thread and I'll help you get to the bottom of it.

I've not seen any other reports of artwork issues, so not really sure what it relates to that stage. If your internet had been offline when it originally asked for the artwork, it would have failed to find any, and created these small xml files, and those shows would get no artwork from then on. If deleting the files (causing it to check again for new art) causes it to start working, then it's sounding like that might have been the case.

Sub a few points of concern:

There are links to the SD hashed URL that return error code 5000 so Internet could have been up.

NextPVR should still try alternative source on error or return existing generic art for the show if it exists.

Ah!  My internet was down very briefly 3-4 times over the last month or so.  It sounds like that might be what has what caused the problems.

Are the files I need to delete the 71 byte files Martin mentioned, or something else?  Right now, I've restored all the files that are bigger than 71 bytes and I'm still missing artwork for the four programs I mentioned above.

Thanks for all the help!

Yeah deleting those small files will get it to try again to find artwork for those shows.

If you delete a file and afterwards there still is no art, I suspect the files are getting recreated.  Upload the logs and then follow the steps here https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=62902 then delete the 71 byte long files again and see what happens.

Martin

Hello again,

I've checked this morning and there are no 71 byte files in the ...shows directory, but I'm missing artwork for 4 programs.  I've attached a screen shot of my Recordings page and also screen shots of the list of files in the ...shows directory that are less than 1KB in size.  None of these are 71 bytes.  Of course, there are lots of other files in that directory that I haven't listed.  I've also attached logs that I took just now.

I have not yet gone to the clear art page referenced in the post you cite because there are no 71 byte files in the shows directory.

Please advise if you need further information.

Thanks!

Logs would help more than the screenshots (I do believe your and the log will explain it too). I'd like to see what happend at 7:48 pm.

In my email yesterday I also gave the command line to dump the full directory the full command line is

dir C:\Users\Public\NPVR-Data\media\shows > filenames.txt

and zipping that file would have been most helpful.
