I have been able to fine tune the wintv2000 that comes with the hauppage pvr150
i get audio on all channels with wintv2000
then i have tried freqcopy
but still no audio on the gbpvr (for the channels 16-20)
I have tried looking at the reg but i have no idea what i am really looking at

I have tried freqcopy with the ant insteady of cable and now i don't get any channels

when i try to run the tuning assistant i am not getting any channels either
Is it best to delete (uninstall) & start over or is there something small that i can do to fix this

thanks

From reading your first post, I'd say something weird happened when you ran freqcopy, and that maybe the gyu that wrote freqcopy could help you. But your second post makes me confused. Does the card still work under win2000?

I don't know, if this ones help you out:

As i started with my PVR150 i had the same Problems. WinTV32/2000 had no Problems to show me Programs..., GB-PVR wouldn't want to do this... *g*

Someome tells me to use the Tool "Freqcopy" and i tested it. For the first Time i had Channels within GB-PVR, but no really TV-Stations.

I checked the Frequencys from my WinTV32/2000 and compared them with the frequencys generated and copied by freqcopy: They was all wrong! freqcopy changed the frequencies, no wonder that gb-pvr hadn't the right receive of tv-channels.

I had to change the frequencies manual within the registry and now i have no problems.

thanks for responding
Where i am at now
yesterday I uninstalled and reinstalled gbpvr
still didn't get any channels after running tuning ast.
then deleted registry enteries under microsft tv .....
then i could get the channels on the gbpvr but the channels that i had problems with
still didn't come in

so right now i have most of the channels working but not the 16 -20
the channels in wintv2000 never stopped working

How do you check the freq from win tv 32 2000
I have printed out the reg. enteries from the hauppage card
if that will help

thanks for your help

Can you get tuningassistant to work? I think you can get it to show the frequencies for the channels (if it finds them ;-)) I don't know if you can get wintv2000 to show them.

I've done a full channel scan within my country, also the WinTV32 searched for Frequencies, not for channels. This Numbers i compared with the ones, copied over to the Microsoft TV-Reg-Entries. Freqcopy changed them..., i din't know till today, why. I entered the Frequencies found by the WinTV Software manually in the Regkey from the MIcrosoft-TV Key.

I suggest you to do the same like me.

I would not recommend the registry tweak unless you really feel you have to. Since many versions of gbpvr you can enter the frequencies directly in the config app instead of channel numbers. That way you don't have to screw up the registry. For example, if you know that the frequency is 216Mhz, you enter 216000000

I have the numbers that it is off of the standard channel # if that helps
channel 16 is fine tuned +2
17..... +5

If you don't find the frequencies within the WinTV32 ChannelSuite, instead you'll find only channels, then you made a false scan for channels.
In this case the WinTV Software scans only registered channels they are known to be send on this or this channel in this or this country.

Make a new channelscan... a completely; alternatively try instead cable antenna to get the frequencies, instead the channel numbers.

Alternativ try the Variante from Stefan.. :-)
