Maybe as a test, delete the channels and only import the groups of channels you think you'd really use? Having thousands of channels you never intend to use can lead to a shitty experience, particularly in Kodi.
When importing the channels in NextPVR, before hitting the 'save' button, most people would click the filter button at the top of the the channel list, untick all channels, then only tick the groups they're interested in (like "US Documentaries" "UK Entertainment" etc). This way you only end up with the channels you're likely to use.
Ok I'll try that thanks, I've not really seen too poor an experience to be honest. It's been pretty good other than this new or possibly old issue. I did look back through some other logs and I did notice that the error mvallevand has pointed out is there also. I'll remove the junk and report back. Thanks for the very speedy response. You guys need a customer service award!
************EDIT Just happened again. I can see an SQL database error then the same 15 second message. I have reduced the channel count already.

The first logs are pretty complex and spammy, I am not used to seeing one household with 4 different timeshifting stream playing so I can't figure out which client watching the news died.
Basically in that log segment I showed, a lease that is sent every 7 seconds was missed (twice) and it looks like it was because client .46 was making EPG update requests for many channels that don't have any listing which could be overloading the network or server. There may be some blocking in the server too it is hard to say. Be sure to set the guide source to None when that is the case Kodi polls very frequently when there is no data and if pvr.nextpvr knows there is no data, it will not make requests to the server. Matrix would probably be better at some things too. Martin

Appreciate that - could you comment further on this Martin 'Be sure to set the guide source to None' <- not sure what you mean by that? Is this in NextPVR server settings?

In NextPVR Settings->Guide if you don't have an EPG source set it to None. Depending on how many you have it might be easier to under Tools Auto map them all to None and only set the ones that you have data for.

So at the moment I have DVB/ATSC EPG for the DVB USB tuners and an XMLTV url for the IPTV. There doesn't seem any way to configure those. Sorry but I'm not quite following you. If I have them in place is that what your question is? Also your comment around the guide data is an interesting one as I quite often have problems with missing guide data and I wonder if it's been related to this issue.

I think I'm with you now Martin, you mean under the Channels menu in Settings then Advanced Tools?

Right you may have a source but that doesn't mean you have active data. Those show in the logs as and there are lots
Code: 2022-01-11 17:39:57.622 [DEBUG][186] About to read listings for channel Kodi will keep asking for this data since you tell it is there, and I don't think it will care if video is playing for not. Martin |
