Dumb question, but how do you download (info for) a specific show ?

I edited above. I did have 'the mating game'. I'd typed it wrong when I used the search. (I'd forgotten I'd looked at it a few hours earlier)

When arrbee99 gets art from Emby it does run a different call then NextPVR web

For recordings

or Live TV (which will be the most likely calls since Emby might regular make 100 calls for shows currently playing)

It calls various web api.

You can kind of check by going to https://www.themoviedb.org/ and typing in the name and hitting search.

Does the Emby thing matter ? It gets its images from NextPVR so the ones mentioned are incorrect in both.
You know vastly more about it of course...

Pick a specific show, like 'The Mating Game', delete the artwork and xml for it, then go to that recording in NextPVR to force it to redownload the artwork. Then post the log files. I'll check why you didn't get the artwork that I'm getting.

When the web player gets art, the logic is based on the show details, genres and duration, when Emby gets the art via NextPVR it is soley based on the show's name.

Harry Potter 3 could match the TV show as priority

FYI, after forcing it to download the artwork again, it might worth restarting nextpvr.exe if you were using that to view the artwork, because it might be showing you a cached copy of the image.

That's true - you may get a better artwork match when you use NextPVR's own user interface for checking the artwork, rather than Emby. (since it has more information available to make a better match)
