Unusual artwork

Dumb question, but how do you download (info for) a specific show ?

It calls various web api.

You can kind of check by going to https://www.themoviedb.org/ and typing in the name and hitting search.

Going there and typing Harry Potter 3 and not pressing enter gives a drop down with the Prisoner of Azkaban first and that HP quiz show second. pressing enter gives a list with the quiz show first, no Quantum of Solace anywhere.
Attenborough's the mating game give nothing. Guess 'Attenborough' doesn't help.

Not really clear about what I should do next. You mentioned logs and db's and things...

Pick a specific show, like 'The Mating Game', delete the artwork and xml for it, then go to that recording in NextPVR to force it to redownload the artwork. Then post the log files. I'll check why you didn't get the artwork that I'm getting.

I haven't recorded that. I only have a few recordings. Most have correct images. There's one for Robin Hood thats got the wrong version of Robin Hood, which doesn't count I think, and a couple more which just don't have images at all.

Yes, 'Attenborough's The Mating Game'. Maybe thats because I have the guide from dvb-s and the guide from Matt Huisman ? Or maybe you have dvb-t ?
Actually, if I look under channels it seems the dvb-s channels use the dvb-s guide and my xml channels use Matts epg, which I guess is expected.

When the web player gets art, the logic is based on the show details, genres and duration,  when Emby gets the art via NextPVR it is soley based on the show's name.

That's true - you may get a better artwork match when you use NextPVR's own user interface for checking the artwork, rather than Emby. (since it has more information available to make a better match)

Not sure what you mean by this. NextPVR feeds Emby. Doesn't Emby got the artwork from NextPVR, they seem to match. Am sure the HP3 Quantum of Solace image I first saw in Emby then looked in NextPVR web and it was the same.

When most most clients ask NextPVR for artwork, they say "give me artwork for show ID 1234". NextPVR can then look up show ID 1234, and it has all sorts of extra info, like if how long the show is, whether the season/episode numbers are known, the genre, year if it's a movie etc. NextPVR then uses all this info to decide stuff like "is it likely to be a movie" or a "tv show", and to help it find the right artwork for the show.

Because of the way the Emby plugin is written, it just says find me some artwork for something called "The Mating Game" and doesn't give NextPVR anything further to go on. It doesn't know the duration, or year, or genre, or season/episode numbers etc.
