When i try to watch tv BLACK

Okay... I have a hauppauge pvr 250 , 256mb ram, 800mhz celeron..

When i was tuning tv channels i saw the tv channels..But when i try to watch tv i just get black...

Have you got an MPEG2 decoder installed?

Yes... I've tried 2 differnt ones elecard mpeg2 decoder and intervide

I thought the pvr 250 had hardware decoding

The TV is black, but did you try to see if the movie was displayed when using a PC monitor ?
I've see this occured with my geforce when the primary display was the monitor and not the TV.

Another way to get a blank TV screen is the video is being obtained from a wrong input source. I had similar problem when I was expecting the video to come from the coax connection, but I had set up the capture source to be composite/external. Wrong source!
