Hi,

occasionally, when playing back a recording, it shows me a duration of only twelve seconds in the progress-bar, but it actually has a duration of 66 minutes. It would play fine until the end (the full 66 minutes), but if i use my remote to skip/pause/ffwd etc., i'm "caught" between the beginning (second 0) and second 12.
The file plays fine in other apps like zoom player or windows media player, the problem only occurs when playing back with gbpvr. The file is recorded and decoded with my pvr350, maybe this is the problem, because zoom player or wmp don't utilize the card for playback. Here are some parts of my GBPVR.exe.log:

As I said, it happens randomly, and I cannot find a particular reason for it. I use the latest drivers from hauppauge for the tv-card.

I used to get this exact problem when I used the tv-out on my 350. It was just one of the problems I had with it. I gave up, now using software decoding. No more problems, other than a bit worse visual quality. But it more than well makes up for all crashes, 12 sec problems, and such.

I also use the 350 and have had this problem. I think it's happened to me 3 times in the last 10 months since I've been using the 350--not too bad in my opinion. Thankfully, I've never had it happen to a show I really cared about. If you ever figure out what causes this, please post it here.

Hi,

okay, so I'm not the only one with this problem, and there shouldn't be anything wrong with my setup. Maybe it'll be fixed in an upcoming release of gbpvr or with new drivers from hauppauge.

Don't hold your horses. GBPVR has nothing to do with this, and hauppauge doesn't seem too eager to fix driver issues with the 350...

which drivers are you using? the "original" hauppauge driver? you could try the drivers pre-release driver from shspvr.com... i use the latest drivers and never had this sort of problem when using the tv out of the 350 (but nevertheless switched to software decoding a couple weeks ago).

look here for the latest drivers.
AMD 1600mHz, 512 M RAM, 20+160 GB drive, Hauppauge PVR-350 + PVR-150 + PVR-150MCE, Win XP Pro SP3, using software decoding.

Hi,

maybe I give the shspvr drivers a try this weekend. But I'm in doubt if this is a driver issue. Does the information about the video length come from the hw-decoder of the card?
Shouldn't the filereader/streamreader used by gbpvr grab this kind of information from the mpeg-stream? Or at least something that comes before the decoder in the filter graph
