I don't know what "all over the place" means. However you have been rebuilding your nextpvr system and ever restarted from scratch then the identifiers could be out of sync. To resync them go into Settings->PVR->Client Specific->Refresh cache for channel icons and restart Kodi.

I have made some screen shots (below) to explain what I mean.

I did try reloading the icon cache, but it had no effect on the picons showing up in Kodi.

The picons in the NextPVR client are perfectly OK.

Reset the channel icons as I explained again. You may need to reset the PVR database too in PVR settings to clear the Kodi cached. While you are there I suggest enabling the options to use the channel numbers from the backend so they match.

I did all you suggested, but no change.

I then configured the Kodi addon to use a NextPVR5 installation that is working fine on another PC on the LAN, no change again.

However, uninstalling and reinstalling the addon fixed the problem. On reinstalling I used localhost 127.0.0.1 rather than the LAN IP I had been using before, but I then changed it back to the LAN IP address of the host PC and it doesn't appear to have reintroduced the issue.

So I don't have any idea what caused it, or what fixed it.

I did note however that the addon version that Kodi uses on my local PC is 19.0.3, whereas the version on the other LAN PC is 3.3.21. I am not suggesting that this has a bearing in any way on the scrambled picon issue, but which version should I be using? I suspect 19.0.3, as that is what was offered from the Kodi repository on reinstalling on the local PC

It has a lot of bearing. 3.3.21 is Leia (v18) and there is no way to clear the cache via the addon. The option I asked you to use doesn't exist and it is not clear how you did what I suggested. Completely uninstalling the addon will remove the cache though.

This is where logs help.

Version 3.3.21 is on the LAN PC where the NextPVR plugin was working OK with no scrambled picons.

The problematic local PC installation had version 19.0.3. I cleared the cache under Settings|PVR & Live TV|Clear data. If that wasn't the place to do it please let me know.

As I said that did not fix the problem. Only uninstallling and reinstalling the addon did that.

Just to be clear what I asked you to do earlier was Settings->PVR->Client Specific->Refresh cache for channel icons and then you would might need to clear the PVR cache. I was never confident you did that which is why I asked for logs.

I understand. I just did not know which logs you were referring to, NextPVR or Kodi.
