Good, thanks for checking.

The double header condition I am not sure of is what happens if the first game is still going when the pre-padding for game two starts. When game one ends, I think they both stop.

Hey, Martin.

I discovered this morning that NextEnd hasn't been working on my production system since back in March. Huh

Guessing that it was an old version, I tried to follow the instructions for effectively doing a new install. But it doesn't seem to be working. Here's what I did:

  1. Emptied the C:\Users\Public\NPVR-Data\plugins\NextEnd folder
  2. Downloaded https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/uti...dV5~rc.zip (link from the NextEnd wiki)
  3. Extracted to the C:\Program Files\NextPVR\ folder (Option B from the install instructions post since I think I read your preferred method for installing your tools on Windows now is to put them in the NextPVR program folder. Also overwrote the files already in that folder.)
  4. Deleted the NextEnd*.json files from that folder

I then did a test to make sure that the .exe would run OK: "C:\Program Files\NextPVR\NextEnd.exe" --monday, but I get the error:
Code:
C:\Program Files\NextPVR>"C:\Program Files\NextPVR\NextEnd.exe" --monday
Unhandled exception. System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'Void NShared.PlaybackPositionHelper.StorePlaybackPosition(System.String, Int32, Int32)'.
   at NextEnd.Program.Main(String[] args)

Also, a while back, you had suggested on Windows changing to using the task scheduler to run the actual .exe. So that's how my system is setup currently. I don't recall exactly why we made that change back then. Now, would you recommend that users do the "Start /b" method again? I feel like if I had been doing that, I would have noticed the errors in my regular NextPVR log files...

Are you running the latest version from the wiki? https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/NextEnd That sounds like 5.2.7 issue was addressed. The logs identify the version you are running . Note that an update will be required for v6 NextPVR too.

Now that NFL is starting up it probably is a good time to tweak it. start /b should work just as well.

edit: Actually, when I downloaded and extracted the files it was 1/13/2020 for the dated created.
the downloaded files have dates from January 2020!

Is it possible that you updated the link on your test wiki, but not on sub's official wiki?

FYI: I just tried another download, and got the same file.

No. I'm clicking the NextEndV5 Release Candidate link.

Edit: I've even tried from a couple of different machines...

Oh, I see now. Even though I'm running NextPVR V5, I'm not supposed to use the NextEnd link for V5, but rather the link for "Current Version". That was not at all clear to me, sorry.

Using the "Current Version" link, it's working now.

The current version is for v5 since this is the v5 (and up) wiki. You must be thinking of the v4 pmwiki. I updated it from the RC 5.2.7 and will do the same for 6.0.0 I will change the release candidate name at the same time for those that run historical version.

I just ran this update in docker this morning. Are there any recommendations on how to try to set this up after the update? I'm going to try to give it a go this week.
