Be aware there may be disruption on Freesat as BBC goes all HD getting rid of SD Channels over 2023. The BBC regional studios are only just being upgraded to HD because of the high cost so regional news has only ever been in SD. So the BBC has to create around 15 or more new BBC1 regional HD channels! The BBC has a new transponder on 12421.5 Mhz where some SD and radio channels have been moved. The changes to the EPG will happen seamlessly for those with a real Freesat receiver but the rest of us will need to search for the new channels or those that have moved so disapeared!!

This web site seems to be the best to find the new frequency for your missing Freesat channels for your region as it seems to be updated almost daily! King of Sat does not seem to have been updated for several weeks!

The next Freesat transponder for the 28.2E DVB-S2 upgrade seems to be 10788V. The channels which were on it were moved to a DVB-S2 transponder last week. It has now been upgraded to DVB-S2 and currently just has one presumably a test channel. The channels curently on 10773H are due to move there by Monday 13th. The final upgrade is due on Monday 20th!

Is anyone successfully receiving the channels on 12168 V? I was expecting to find the new BBC1 South HD.

I get no channels found both on NPVR and my Vu+, but I'm sure my dish is fine. I've always received all expected channels in the past, and I get 100 SNR and 0 BER on channels that are working on other frequencies.

I just checked and it is there! Do you have the correct settings?

1=12168,V,27500,23,S2,8PSK

Yes, I have exactly that line:

1=12168,V,27500,23,S2,8PSK

I even made a .ini with every possibly variation of Polarity, Symbol rate and FEC for 12168 Mhz but absolutely nothing is found.

It does seem like it would be a problem with the dish, but lots of channels work and appear to have excellent signal.

Difficult to know what to suggest. Are you able to see channels on adjacent transponders a little higher or lower in frequency. A problem could indicate a fault with the LNB.

It is probable that its just a temporary location for the two BBC channels using the transponder until the last of the moves to a DVB-S2 transponder on the 20th Feb. At which point the BBC have an empty transponder to move channels currently scattered about to!

Its probably a good idea NOT to delete the old "BBC ONE HD" channel in case you have recurring recordings on that channel. If it does disappear you should be able to rename a duplicate of your regional HD channel!
