no i didn't create these folders, i removed everything inside nextpvr folder.

But these folder are mount from the container settings, so when i start the docker, these folders are created.

NB: i'm not using the standard appdata share from unraid because i have an SSD cache (btrfs) and i already had problem with other docker using sqlite and netframework over a btrfs file system.

So the appdata-sql is fully on my hard drive (xfs)

So unraid must create them as root.

it create folder base on the user specified in the docker.

usually you can set a variable, GUID and PUID, and it creates folder with these, some docker don't have these variable, but docker can take settings from the extra parameters --user.

it doesn't seems to work with nextpvr, i'm not sure why, but it's not a problem if you know it, and can ajust your folders owner manually.

So, i managed all my problems by being very patient.

When adding a new m3u with 5000 channels it take up to 45 minutes to be completely and properly added in the database.

During this time the container only take 1.5% load on my CPU.

I don't know if it's slow because of drive access or something else, but my drives are not really under heavy load.

Is it normal for the database writing to be this long?

Thank you.

Are you sure it is taking that long? Getting icons is slowish but that seems to be too long. I did note in my first post that you might need to restart the sever after importing. Maybe send your zipped logs and we can check.

Note that 5000 channels is really too many for PVR anyway, there is no good way to manage that. Can you not filter it down to what you watch from the beginning.

I already filtered a lot at the source from the provider to have "only" 5000, after removing some groups that weren't removed from source, i'm at 3000.

If i want to filter more, i'll have to remove channel by channel, for each m3u.

For the sql writing, i'm not 100% sure, because i don't know how the software works, but here is my experience :

I import an m3u, i remove uneeded groups, and i click to save, i have no reaction from the browser at all, but the logs show my save action.

If i try to do anything on nextpvr with another browser, i have a lot of sql locked error.

If i wait 30 to 5 minutes, the importing browser show me the list of channels, and everything is good.

If i do anything before with the importing browser, i got an IPTV Device (not an IPTV (http://m3u) device) with channels in it (the state i had at the start of this thread)

I auto merged my channels after all my import were correctly done, and again, nextpvr add a lot of sql locked errors, after a few hours, the merge was done, and everything was working correctly

I still have to check if getting multiple stream from emby is possible, and learn how to do, but it's for another thread.

Since you didn't upload any zipped logs we can't help you.

i'll upload one later

but at what point do you want the log file?

Do you want me to only import the m3u, wait until it's done, and export logs, or do you want me to generate sql lock error with an other browser during the import?

Thank you.

Just start the import and let it run without doing anything.

3000 is still a ridiculous number of chanels for a PVR.
