Scan not picking up most HD Channles on 28.2 Sat

Can you give an example of a frequency where you expect channels?

Mint like most Linux repos is stable, just little things like this made it harder for me to use.  Most development build instructions just work on Debian or Ubuntu.

No way to copy but the issue appears to be how NextPVR works with the BDA drivers anyway.

With all the good true clients I don't see why you need to use Pot Player though.

I guess I mean why use VLC or Pot Player when there are all so many good NextPVR and Kodi clients that let you pause, record, skip etc.

Sub needs, to comment on any fixes.

Hey you won't belive this but I found an updated driver for my card on drivermax.com of all places, an driver update app I would never use. I had already previously checked on my card manufacturer website and they only had the one I was using. I even downloaded it and reinstalled it just to be sure it was the same version. As a last try tonight I googled altenraive driver in case there was such a thing for my card and found the newer driver.

So yeah problem solved, all HD channles detected. Thanks for your assistance Martin!

Great. Glad you found that updated driver.

I'm guessing those older drivers just didn't support the more recent tuning standard from Microsoft for DVB-S2. Some software like DVBViewer was quite proactive with supporting non-standard tuning api used by some older cards, whereas NextPVR focus on the more standard compliant stuff. Sounds like maybe that newer driver fixed it's support for the Microsoft DVB-S2 tuning.
