IPTV EPG

I will have to check, as I have temporarily reverted my system to previous NextPVR version 6.14 from a disc image.

With the previous version image installed, when I type 'http://localhost:8866/service?method=channel.xmltv' into the browser window, I get an XML listing, but it says it has no style info associated.

Under NextPVR 6.15, I don't get the above, but get the error message in above posting, and it is not formatted correctly.

I am using the identical XMLTV source file.

When I use the Tivimate client, it reads in the IPTV channel Playlist and EPG from NextPVR no problemo.

I will reload the NextPVR 6.15 disc image and try your suggestion.

Actually there is a bug in the new version it is not XML encoding genres (categories)

Oh, you're right. Assuming that's what he's seeing, this updated dll should fix it.

When I view the page source, I see an entire XML file of over 4 MB, which looks perfectly normal.
However after issuing the 'http://localhost:8866/service?method=channel.xmltv' ,  I get the aforementioned error message, and 4 lines of XML in the browser window, but formatted weird.

It's probably not entirely normal. As Martin suggested, it's probably a show genre having an invalid xml character. The updated dll should fix it.

Continue EPG discussion. ---- any way to add a third party EPG and map the channels to that EPG ? Have had success with TIVIMATE to do this, but not sure on NEXTPVR.
