Recording failures

I have a quad hd dvb-t tuner. I also have a dual dvb-t tuner and a quad satelite tuner.
My question is what happens when there is a no signal on a tuner as I have had a no signal failure often lately on the quad hd tuner and the software has not attempted to try another tuner on that card or try other tuners including satelite?
Howcome it does not try other tuners as I remember on media center it would try alternate tuners or even use a +1 station to record from if all else fails.

NextPVR doesn't consider no data an error, as the reported message would tell you. [Failed: No errors, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal.] Consider changing the priority of this tuner from the device list.

If there was a true tuner error this would be reported before starting the recording, parallel processing, thumbnail generation etc.

In either case it would look for new tuners and if none are available it will use the unique ID to reschedule another time or channel. If there is no error I am not sure it will use the +1 channel since it would have already started. Perhaps sub could consider that on failure?

Yeah that is interesting, I didn't realise it wouldn't be considered an error if no data is delivered, I just presumed it would try an alternate tuner if available as that would make sense to prevent a failed recording.
I thought the +1 channel is one hour behind so it shouldn't miss anything if there was an error on the main channel.

My fail over when the second one hasn't started shwo this message "Alternative Airing - after failed original" but I don't have back to back duplicate channels.

You'd probably also have to make sure your +1 channels weren't on the same tuner to avoid repeating the problem.
