It worked very well, but there is some hiccup on the gpu when using the app, is there any way to alleviate this (hardware mode)

If hardware mode gives hiccups use software mode. It sounds odd, but when you think about it the new Raspberry Pi5 doesn't use h/w for mpeg2video or h264 which are most broadcast. Also consider changing the resolution to 1280x720 if you haven't already. Video will still be normal, that is the GUI only.
Realistically yauiclient is not designed for performance it was an experiment to see if I could have a NextPVR play ATSC 3.0 channels and recordings with AC-4 audio. I also like the idea of the sports bar mode with the 4 sessions running. Those parts are working but it can't handle the DRM issue for ATSC 3. Martin

I don't know why nlite couldn't handle other channels. On yauiclient if I use software mode the app cuts out after a few seconds of playing video

It feels like a source issue, does it work with both on the local LAN? I'd like to see the zipped NextPVR logs when it cuts off.
Maybe try Kodi but again this is a suggestion I gave you earlier. I do have a version of yauiclient that allows configuration of the buffer time, it might help if Kodi works. Martin

I think nlite might work better but it just wasnt working last I checked whereas yauiclient did work. is there a reason nlite couldnt handle it?

Did ESPN+ work on the local network in nlite? Does it work in nextpvr.exe? They use the same playback components, so should be pretty similar.

There are multiple issues at play, first he chrome-capture box appears to be hit and miss which is why server logs would be required.
There's a second issue (if you want to call it that) chrome-capture is defaulting to transcoding because IPTV demands AAC audio and it is sending opus, perhaps because that works on chrome. As noted earlier the h264/h264 video transcoding will slow things down too. You can eliminate that issue by using a an extra so you can direct play Also the fact that this is going over the Internet just adds to the problem. Maybe test with recordings which can buffer easier. I would expect nlite to have much lower CPU/GPU use via Direct Show than yauiclient. The ffmpeg remux in yauiclient's libmpv is more consistent on unknown formats than sub's DS addons but always try and get nlite working first. Martin

NextPVR.exe only works on the local machine.
For extras check the wiki and search the forum you probably need to use a curl based capture of a URL to stdout. something like Code: <extras> Martin |
