I'm soooooo frustrated. This all was working so well until last week when i installed the newest version of gbpvr, and now nothing is working anymore.

I have a WinTV PVR USB2 which works fine. I've downloaded the latest gbpvr and reinstalled everything. when I had the BlueMCE2 skin the mediamvp server wouldn't start, so i switched back to the default skin and now everything looks fine. I set up my GBPVR to record some shows and saw that 'something' was recorded (something recorded for an hour, and it took up 2Gig - so it all looked correct) but when i tried to play it back either on the computer or on tv it was just a bunch of blackness, nothing else. The TV tuner shows up fine, so I'm not sure why the recording is failing now. I'll include my logfiles again.

The logs look fine - no erros. Are you using composite, svideo or tuner?

I think my Hauppauge Video Decoder is corrupt.

I'm going to try to manually remove and replace. hopefully that will help.

nope - still a problem. I'm picking "S-Video, External Tuner". Is this the right one for Hauppauge's external WinTV USB PV2 tuner?

just realized that if i'm using WinTV PVR USB2 i should probably be using the SVideo2 External tuner option. but i changed that and it didn't fix the problem.

Hmm, I dont know if you answered my question, so I'll say it a different way. Are you using an arial plugged into the WinTV PVR USB2's Tuner, or SVideo cable from an external cable/satellite box plugged into the WinTV PVR USB2's Svideo input ?

If you've got an ariel plugged into the device, then you should be using the 'tuner' option, not the 'SVideo, External tuner' option.

I'm using a cable plugged into my usb2 device - not an arial. and the cable - all channels show up great in my wintv.

the last time i tried this, i'm getting the info below the livetv correct (it says i'm looking at channel 2 or 3 or whatever as appropriate) but now i'm getting flashing green on the live tv area instead of just black. I'm assuming this is basically the same issue.

If i try to pause the "green show" and go into timeshifting, i get the error "Error Playing back file".

Now i have my wintv actually plugged into a USB port, not a USB2 port, but i doubt that would make a difference, would it?

man i'd like to get this working again. GBPVR was so sweet.

Thats probably not causing the problem you described, but you wont get a satisfactory result with this. You really need to be using a USB2 port.
