I figured out what was happening. When I disabled the service, everything was working as normal. Moms system never rebooted itself. NextPVR does not work after a reboot. So That is why I never realized there was an issue.
With that said Is there a way to remove the Quick record and Record options from this screen within the config file. I believe Sub had said to delete the search option among others from the main menu.

A few days ago I logged at the event details skin and it looks like it must be populated dynamically so there is nothing to edit. Otherwise as you have been told there is no option to disable it. There is very early work in user permissions so it might be possible one day.

My 94 year old father is in a retirement home and they do check for falls which has helped him a few times. One time the battery in his monitor failed and caused a major issue so stay alert.

When I click on configuration, I grt url can't be found. I think it must be a needed notation in the host file but what?

Not much information there but for local files NextPVR doesn't accept file:// notation it is just file system file naming. If you have another problem pleae open a new thread with your zipped logs and a clearer description.
