Hi all
First, I want to express my appreciation for the NextPVR platform. It has greatly simplified my workflow, and I enjoy working with it, especially with the level of control it offers for customizing IPTV channels and EPGs.
However, I recently encountered a significant issue that I believe warrants attention. While I was adding a new channel, I accidentally deleted all my channels—over 300 of them. These were carefully curated IPTV channels, and I had manually stitched each channel’s EPG, a process that took years of planning. I’m still unsure what exactly happened, but I suspect a dropped keyboard and a held-down Enter key may have contributed to this.
What concerns me is how easy it was to delete everything at once. All channels in the channel settings seem to be ticked by default, and even after I untick them, they are re-ticked when I make changes. This nearly happened again while I was re-adding the channels. I believe it would be a great improvement to require a confirmation step, like entering the same PIN code used for backend/frontend communication, to prevent accidental deletions.
This is not a rant—I'm offering this suggestion because I’d rather not risk losing all my channels again after investing so much time into configuring them.
I hope this feedback can be considered, and I’d be happy to provide any further information or clarification if needed. Thank you for continuing to develop such a powerful tool.
