Replace the files of the same name in your install, and restart (or reboot). The DeviceHostLinux file here needs to replace the version in ./DeviceHost/x64

Followed all your instructions as outlined in your post. Unfortunately NPVR is now reporting the TBS6902 PCIe tuner as unavailable. Logs attached.

Sorry sub uses Windows and for some reason the +x attribute didn't stick from the previous installation (it did for me so I didn't think about it.

sudo chmod 755 /opt/nextpvr/system/DeviceHost/x64/DeviceHostLinux

I should have picked that up quicker using the mv command. Anyway it looks like you've finally resolved the Open TV and Freesat 7 day EPG on Astra 28.2. For completeness I've included the latest log to let you see how your solution played out in case you needed to tidy it up in any way. Thanks again.

Wonderful especially given that sub developed this all based on theory with no tuner access in Windows I think this is an amazing achievement. I don't think there is another PVR backend doing this on Windows and Linux. I was confident that since it was working on SAT>IP and Windows a solution was close and sub would be find it after the release. As you just saw, the the solution wasn't just in one logical area. You are in fact the first official user so I thank you for your help over the year and even for the initial idea beyond adding OpenTV and extend Freesat to Linux.

Ironically it took your database for me to realize I could properly test the Linux DVB-S differences from Canada and help sub get to the bottom of this, wish I figured that out months ago. And again a big thanks since it seems you have had to remove the PCI device to test.

If you are willing I still would like to work on getting a better scan file so if you have time to continue could you let me know what frequencies and/or channels I missed in the scraping.

I assume you'll want to tidy up the code before you release a version of NPVR that includes this feature.

In the meantime I did mention to you before about the possibility of including the ability to carry out a network scan. I imagine it would probably negate the need for those predefined and woefully outdated mux tables.

Yes having the ability to physically access the actual satellite (Astra 28.2), having the physical hardware to test (DVBS PCIe tuner and DVBS Sat/IP tuner) and testing both setups in Linux and Windows will no doubt have contributed greatly to a final working solution.

For anyone following this thread Sub has now managed to integrate a 7 day EPG for those using Freesat/OpenTV and other fta channels located on Astra 28.2E. There is now no need for external EPG providers to be included. Testing of this feature has been carried out using both Linux and Windows OS and both a DVBS PCIe tuner and a DVBS Sat/IP tuner.

Yes I am willing to continue to provide test results and any combination of the hardware I have outlined above should be available to perform these tests.

Yes. I'll probably do a small release, maybe this weekend, to roll in the few fixes like this that have been addressed post 7.0, so that others dont need to hunt down patches etc.

I'm still hoping to at that, but it won't be for the release this weekend.

Yes I have a beta V6 NPVR running on one setup with the Sat/IP tuner and the now patched V7 NPVR running on the PCIe tuner. Hopefully by the weekend both systems will be singing off the same hymn sheet.

I’ll do a final test with both tuners on both Linux and Windows as soon as you drop the latest release just to confirm everything is working as expected.
