It scans all the frequencies and does find some listings.

Code:
2025-01-30 21:55:00.802 [DEBUG][21]     TSSecionParserEIT returning 2095 listings
2025-01-30 21:56:02.990 [DEBUG][21]     TSSecionParserEIT returning 2503 listings
2025-01-30 21:57:05.830 [DEBUG][21]     TSSecionParserEIT returning 2949 listings
2025-01-30 21:58:08.151 [DEBUG][21]     TSSecionParserEIT returning 3435 listings
2025-01-30 21:59:10.019 [DEBUG][21]     TSSecionParserEIT returning 3738 listings
2025-01-30 22:00:12.263 [DEBUG][21]     TSSecionParserEIT returning 3821 listings

Interesting that the logs report 18,000+ listings. The EPG status says [4139 inserted, 0 updated, 0 skipped].

I tried starting fresh by removing the HDHR tuners, rebooting and rescanning. All 59 channels are identified corrected. I just end up with a minimal EPG guide - see attached.

That's not a full mux, it normally would be about 150 - 200MB. If using the tscapture is a problem we can use the Silicondust utility.

Code:
"C:\Program Files\Silicondust\HDHomeRun\hdhomerun_config.exe" 12604189 set /tuner0/channel auto:226500
"C:\Program Files\Silicondust\HDHomeRun\hdhomerun_config.exe" 12604189 save /tuner0 abcfullmux.ts

and after a minute hit ctrl-c

If that doesn't give a much large file maybe check the frequency with

"C:\Program Files\Silicondust\HDHomeRun\hdhomerun_config.exe" 12604189 get /tuner0/streaminfo

I tried TSCapture again, but only received the minimal transport stream file.

Here is the capture using hdhomerun_config: abcfullmux.ts

Thanks. What version of the HDHR firmware are you running and what do you have for BDA Compatibility Mode in the hdhomerun_setup program? Since some channels work it is probably okay just want to confirm.

There is a full weeks worth of data in there so hopefully sub will be able to have a look. I also don't have a HDHR to for comparison and I can't set up a proper DVB-T test.

I seem to be getting full listings for that sample stream.

HDHR firmware is 20231214 - the most recent available. BDA Compatibility Mode is set to Default.

That sample was taken from hdhomerun_config. I checked the HDHomeRun app and it displays EPG information across all channels, so this seems to be localised to NPVR.

Unfortunately, I can't get a full mux from TSCapture using my HDHRomeRun. I'd love to, because I think it would help pinpoint the problem.

For me, Record Full Transport Stream yields files of 5 to 7 MB. Single Channel yields larger files but nowhere near the 150 to 200 MB expected.

Does changing BDA to NextPVR make a difference?

It did, indeed. All TV channels now have full EPG information displayed. And TSCapture gets full mux files in the 150 to 200 MB range.

There are a few FTA radio channels that show "(no listings)", but I have no idea if those even have EPG information.

What does BDA Compatibility Mode do?

Anyway, thank you for your help in resolving this.

It's basically SiliconDust trying to be overly smart by stripping things out of the broadcast data that it doesn't think the user will need.

I think in the early days they'd do this because old wifi networks were not up to delivering the full broadcast stream and this was a way around it.
