Thank you, Martin. It sounds like some of the challenges I'd expected for seamless integration are there with potential, at least partial, solutions. As an aside, that is CRAZY cheap internet /tv combo service compared to what people can get in my part of the US (minneapolis area). Here most would pay that much, or more, for that level of internet OR tv (assuming that includes some level of sports programming) and every time you turn around it would get bumped up.

The screen grabbers I referred to are software programs that (claim to) capture the video that would be displayed on the screen. They claim to be able to support the video in a window so MIGHT allow multiple stream captures concurrently. I only did small amounts of testing and can't speak to the quality of captured video.

Anyway - far enough off topic for something that, at least for my use case, is a "maybe someday" issue.

I mean all NextPVR needs is a video source from somewhere. Getting it to put a channel you want to watch is another challenge. I used to use stuff like that but I'm at peace with my setup ATM. HDMI Encoders are a LOT more stable than relying on a computer to play and screen capture a stream which that's up a lot of CPU/GPU power to do and those encoders are dirt cheap and easy to set up

It's always gonna be a challenge to get cable channels in NextPVR legally as the Cablecards are in life support but I'm glad we got solutions like that.

Here in Canada we never had cable card so I have had a long experience with HDPVR and other devices and with NextPVR they have been stellar. ChannelsDVR folk have all their Dockers for various services (that would work with NextPVR too BTW) I just like something that works reliably instead of managing Dockers.

For instance last night no problems capturing 4K@30 Super Bowl with the LinkPI yesterday (although I watched it live). There was a valiant effort with the Tubi Docker to get the 4K feed but I don't think it worked. I don't know if the feed had Atmos but I don't have the equipment anyway, and there is no device that captures that.

Actually I shouldn't say "no" problems since the 4K feed had Canadian commercials so I have to watch those on YouTube but it still works and am so glad for the suggestion to try the Link PI.
