EPG mis-identifying shows with same title

I've been using NPVR for a long time now. One thing I've always noticed is when a new show has the same title as a previous show, NPVR always identifies it as the 
old show. In this example, the show is Doc, new in 2025. However, in 2001, Billy Ray Cyrus was on a show called Doc as well. NPVR identifies the new Doc as the old one from 2001. However, Jellyfin correctly identifies the new Doc as from 2025. Both NPVR and Jellyfin are reading from the same XMLTV file.

Any thoughts?

You just mean the artwork right? It's based on a name search, so not that surprising. For some sources it does try to take the year into account, but obviously hasn't in this case. If you want to supply the xmltv file, I can check this specific show.

That said, on the Recordings page, or Recording Details page, you can ctrl-click any of the artwork, to have it search for other options, and click the artwork you want to use. From then on, it'll use your chosen artwork for that show.

I was not aware of the ctrl/click function to change artwork...that appears to be the issue as the descriptions match as they should.

Yeah the ctrl-click is fairly new, and makes it really easy to fix up any artwork that might be wrong. (unless it's a really obscure show, with no decent artwork matches)
