Guide data issue using NextPVR in a Proxmox LXC

I've been tinkering with moving from Windows to running NextPVR as a Proxmox container, using HDHomeRun as my tuner for a UK Freeview source.

It all seems to work fine apart from the over-air guide data is limited, very patchy.  Happens every time I update the guide data.  Looking through the logs it looks to me like it's OK with the BBC as a source for guide data then fails on the next one, giving this error:

2025-02-19 18:57:04.721 [DEBUG][91] Unable to start device for EPG capture. In use, or unplugged?

Logs attached, any help much appreciated.

Is it possible you were doing another EPG update from your Windows server at the same (default) time, it that case the message would be valid.

Thanks Martin, but I don't think so. Windows NPVR was idle, and it's happened every time I've tried from the LXC NPVR regardless.

I've just tried again, all 4 tuners on the HDHomeRun were idle at the start. NPVR scanned the first channel for guide data, then failed on the next. Looking at the status of the HDHR and it's still stuck on the first frequency, but disconnected from the NPVR:

Virtual Channel none
Frequency 490.000 MHz
Program Number none
Modulation Lock t8dvbt
Signal Strength 100%
Signal Quality 100%
Symbol Quality 100%
Streaming Rate none
Resource Lock none

Update on this... I stood up a new LXC container and had the same issues. Spun up an Ubuntu VM and still had the same issues. Tried on a new Windows device and still the same.

My "old" Windows Server is fine though.

The only obvious difference is that the old Windows machine is on NPVR 7.0.0.241105 and all the new ones are on 7.0.1.241229.

After post #4 I am pretty sure it is a bug in NextPVR rtp handling for DVB on the HDHR and sub will need to look at it.

Not exactly this is HDHR specific code changing frequencies and sub needs to look into it.

Another thing I've noticed is that if I change the guide data settings to only use ITV1:

Source /v8261 [ITV1] (514000000)

and save it, it ignores this and scans:

Scanning Source /v4164 [BBC ONE Lon] (490000000) 6 seconds remaining...

and then fails to do another frequency.
