I saw a post that has since been deleted but I thought I would answer part of it anyway. The are a few things I would like sub to fix or enhance in internal VOD processing. If sub says he won't implement direct VOD downloads I will expand very basic downloading in NextTool to handle inevitable http errors. My approach would be to have an option to download and if successful replace the filename in NextPVR and delete the ts file.

That being said VOD downloading really depends on stable Internet/VPN etc so ensuring that is key.

I appreciate it. The connection is stable, it just seems there is a title that for some reason no matter what VPN server I choose or protocols I use there is a TS recording that is successful at 3117721876 bytes but the MP4 download stops at 1667 bytes each time. Not a big deal as it does not seem to affect other titles that I have seen yet, but I was curious if there was other info I could use to either retry or adjust timeout.

I decided to delete the post earlier to save you from going down the rabbit hole with me and focus on other more important issue others may be having. Minor issue. I will be patient and await an update on the situation with implementing a direct download from sub.

If you PM the information on the title I can try.

Not much NextPVR can do about that. Using curl to look at the provided URL I see "VOD file doesn't exist" when I red the returned 1667 byte html file. This might even be in the mp4 file.

The source .ts file could be bad too, however I noted that sometimes the URL works.

Are there more than just $1 (path/tsfilename) or the $2 (tsfilename) variables set in this version of the NextTool? Is there one for the MP4/MKV URL?

The parameters are passed by NextPVR. $2 is a name I can't remember if it from the vod or recording. The container type is determined by the provider
