I have uploaded a sample here
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ySLP6ft...sp=sharing

Deinterlace settings seem to be either on,off or half.  It was set to on so I have just set to off

I have done a few tests now Martin and this is exactly what happens when I copy data to the server.  It could well be that I was copying some data when I recorded this video, but I cant remember.  My current NextPVR Server PC is a 10 Core 3.5 Ghz i5-13600KF with 128GB ram an RTX3080 and 10x 8TB HDD with 3 x 2TB NVME.  I could use a Quad 3.4Ghz i7-4770 with 32GB RAM a GTX 1080 TI and a 500GB SSD.  This would keep my Jellyfin media server and NextPVR server separate.  Would this alternate machine be adequate to use for NextPVR?

I would focus on networking your specs are overkill for a PVR or media server. SAT>IP uses rtsp which could mean no guaranteed delivery if it uses UDP. I viewed your earlier logs from the perspective of network errors instead of signal loss if you look here https://pastebin.com/4knu0yf3 I don't know how long NextPVR waits to report a dropped packet I guess if you want we can modify the pids=all command to test with ffmpeg but I think it is long enough too long and live TV would have issues.

I am assuming you are using wired networking but maybe adjust the properties on the NIC itself. I can't offer suggestions but no doubt there is a lot of info available on the setting and on rtsp issues too.

Yes all wired. Even my Android boxes are wired gigabit ethernet, not wifi. The only device I use over wifi is a firestick, which I do not use that often. I am pretty happy that I now know what is causing the dropped packets, even if I don't know why. Thanks

This might be a good read https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/24221-...th-sat-ip/ TL;DR use a switch instead of the router's switch.

Thanks for the link Martin, I am already using external switches, not the routers one. Most of my switches are 8 or 4 port Netgear. One of my android boxes is on the same Netgear switch as the Sat-IP server, the other 2 are connected to different switches in other parts of the house. I will have to see if the one connected to the same switch is impacted less when copying data to the server.

You indicate that you've got 13 drives connected to this system, but you don't say how the 10 8TB drives are connected. SATA? SAS? USB? iSCSI? You might want to look into your I/O queue length, data transfer rates, etc. Is the data you are copying to the server going to same drive (or controller/bus) as the NextPVR recording directory being used? I recall (several years ago now) when NextPVR was using UDP from an HDHR, that multiple comskip processes hitting the same drive (slowing down NextPVR's ability to write to the drive) could cause packet loss.

The 10x 8TB drives are all SATA, they are pooled into 1 large drive using Stablebit Drive Pool along with a 2tb NVMe drive.  The pool is setup so that the initial files are copied to the SSD drive first and then balancing is done at a later stage
https://stablebit.com/
My NextPVR recording directory is set to the C: drive, which is also a 2TB NVMe.  I could change this to another 2TB NVMe though which is not part of the pool.

The copying is done from another PC to this server both on the same 8 port Netgear switch.

Am I right in thinking to move NextPVR to another PC and keep my configuration, I just need to copy the contents of the Users/Public/Data folder from the current PC to the new one?

I always believe in fixing the problem rather than masking it. You still can't guarantee your switches won't introduce the issues I wouldn't move an old PC with the near me TV. You would have been better off with a DVB-S tuner card.

You can try a test and install NextPVR on you Beelink via CoreElec.

A tuner card would have meant running sat cables from my living room upstairs into my study which would have been a pita (3 story town house). I don't have a pc where my sat feed comes in and no room for one so the easiest option was to split it where it comes in and feed into a sat-ip server into my LAN.
