Series Recordings - Bug?

It seems a bug?

In the web UI I select a program and select Record Series. It used to then mark all occurrences in Red. But now it doesn't.

Looking in the database, RECURRING_RECORDINGS, the entry is there but has start and end datetimes set (sic).
There are no entries shown in Pending Recording. Even if I update the EPG.

If, in SQL, i remove the dates, then after updating the EPG the occurrences ARE selected and appear in the Pending.
But not all! Some programmes are still not marked as recording.
I am at a loss. The Names of the Programmes match the EPG name.

I am on the latest version 7.0.1.241229, and I am on Windows 10.
I have changed some channels to use Schedules Direct, but that doesn't seem to make it work.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

It depends recurring recordings won't be selected if they are live shows. There is also the possibility that the recordings are duplicates. Without the zipped logs we can't help you.

The series are ongoing. So the ones I select is in the future. I have looked at the logs but I can't see anything.

Forgot to mention, I have also unticked "Avoid duplicate recordings where possible"

I can see several errors in nrecord.log.1 e.g 2025-05-27 14:30:59.988 [ERROR][21] Unexpected error parsing EPGEvent xml: System.Xml.XmlException: '', hexadecimal value 0x1C, is an invalid character. Line 5, position 71.
But I assume that's from the epg data? And I don't know how to correct it.

That's why I gave you the link the uipdated dll to try to see if sub fixed it after some earlier reports. Install and rerun the EPG update.

Yes - sorry I sent the last message before I saw your message - am now trying your DLL - thanks.

It made no difference. So, renamed the existing NShared.dll and copied in new one. Rebooted. Added a new series recording. Then cleared and rebuilt EPG. Then tried again. Entries are in the Recurring but nothing in Pending.

So, to reiterate some Recurring programs are populated to the Pending but not all. I can't see any pattern or reason.

The errors are still in the logs attached.

I thought sub had fixed it since the reports stopped. Confirm the dll was replaced and then update your zipped npvr.db3 with an external link and we have a look.
