Just updated to 7.0.2.250621 and with the extra option enabled the duplicates are gone thank you so much sub. I notice however series numbers are still 00. Episode numbers appear to be correct. Before some of the duplicate entries had the correct series number. I can live with that to be honest just thought I'd mention it. If you need logs let me know. Thanks again.

I think if you upload a link to npvr.db3 we could see if the descriptions contain the series number. That is definitely not always the case in the UK parsing.

Looking in npvr.db3 I think your right, some stuff does have series and episode and some stuff just episode.

BTW When I upgraded the install would complete and the log in the temp folder said successfull but the files stayed the same in the install folder and the version was the same in the web app, I had to uninstall first then run the installer for a successful install.
Also when I was scheduling recordings earlyer with the desktop app it closed on me but the icon was still in the tray so I reopened it and carried on setting recordings. Then just now when I was scrolling through the EPG looking at episode numbers it closed on me again. No error just shuts down I don't know if it's related to the reluctance to install?

Then when recordings just finished I notice the tray icon is still red so I confirm nothing is still recording and then open the status which looks like this
     
then a scheduled recording starts and is recording successfully and it looks like this.

   
Something seems not right with these issues. Shall I delete the profile folder and setup from scratch?

If you run the installer from your temp or download folder I think there is a good chance you have to delete NPVR.zip before running it. You should also delete NPVR.zip afterwards.

That looks like you are trying to create a recording while doing an EPG update which is a no-no. The zipped logs are much better than screen shots to help with solving problems but a fresh install shouldn't be needed.

Installer wasn't ran from the temp folder I just went there looking for a log when it didn't install. Ran it from the download folder as usual which is on a secondary drive.

Hmm so I ran an EPG update after installing but I waited untill it had stopped before setting recordings and the tray was green. I've just restarted the service and that's dissapeared from the status. I'll post the logs if it happens again. Thanks.

I just got the desktop app to close on me again by scrolling backwards and forwards through the EPG. Would logs help with that? Is verbose needed?

I think a link to copy of your npvr.db3 would be better.

@Croftie if you look at the new version you might want to renable all channels in Settings->Guide on the DVB/ATSC OTA gear and also enable Use Strict TSID/ONID to only get the BBC channels that you scanned.

That entrie in the status window is back with a different string. Auto EPG update happened at 5 AM and a recording starrted at 5:40 AM.

I can see that error in the event log as well. If I hold down the left or right arrows for a couple of seconds and then switch direction it will take about 10 seconds for it to close. In normal use yesterday I was scrolling through a 12 hour period setting recordings as I went sometimes going back a bit just slowly and it happened. When your scrolling fast as well it seems to go sluggish then speed back up then sluggish again and at some point it will crash.

That EPG option seems to have dissapeared now!

If you reinstalled you may have installed an old version or you need to do a browser refresh. Is there an NPVR.zip in the folder the installer? If so what file date does it show?

Certainly NextPVR.exe uses much more memory now and I see it grow a lot as I scroll even with my data. I see the same issue with extreme memory use with UI clients too on the server and it doesn't seem to be released so there is something there sub really needs to look at.
