Deleted recording settings, set them up again.
Same issue today.  Recorded the local news starting maybe 10 minutes before the national news, and that worked fine.
The 6:30 recording again failed
To me, it seems that there is some setting in this recording that NextPVR doesn't like, since it's watchable on the TV directly, via the HD HomeRun app, AND via NextPVR when part of the prior recording extended into this time period, or the post recording started in this time period.

So, to me, the question is - what could that be?  Is there some "you can't record this" setting a broadcaster could turn on that would prevent it?  Or, is it possible that Schedules Direct has something set wrong on this program?

If you really believe it's a driver issue, what are the steps I would follow to reinstall drivers?  I can't believe that that's the issue though.

Edit - I did updates with the HomeRun app to more recent firmware in all this. And, since the app shows the program, that is the driver, no?

Thank you.

Did you reinstall the drivers, I still see the same error on the second tuner on both your devices.

103A3306-1
2025-07-01 18:27:08.952 [DEBUG][4] Unexpected error on ATSC put_TunerRequest: 0x8000FFFF

1042E174-1
2025-06-30 18:55:25.458 [DEBUG][4] Unexpected error on ATSC put_TunerRequest: 0x8000FFFF

Following up on my first post can you tune this with hdhomerunconfig_gui on the second tuner on either device?

Another test would be to remove all splitters and connect it to on HDHR 1042E174 try Live TV.

Martin.

If one tuner has an issue, why isn't it switching to another, when there are 4?

I can watch the channel via the Gui with both tuners in 9BC. When I try to watch it via 306 it says it is in use by 10.0.0.15, which is the computer I am using. If I say Override, I can watch. Same with second tuner.

I had already reinstalled the software, but just did it again.

I am not using 174. I am using 9BC and 306. I removed 174 2 days ago.

I then rebooted, and tried all 4 tuners. All work.

Guess I will see what tomorrow night does.

That 174 info was yesterday.  Regardless I think sub needs to look at it just in case there is a bda tuner -1 issue.I also think there is a setting to tune longer for bad signals but I can't remember

I wouldn't expect it to magically start working.

I believe that I have resolved the issue.

When I was having issues, I swapped out an HD HomeRun (I have 4, 2 from an alternate residence).  At some point, with the alternate unit in, NextPVR still thought that the prior unit was there.  Rescan doesn't pull the current devices from the HD HomeRun GUI, and NextPVR lets ypu copy channel configuration to a no longer installed device.

I put the old unit back in, and have now recorded 4 shows at the same time successfully.

I should have paid more attention to the devices it shows in the status window and seen it was the other number.

I suspect tonight will record fine.  If not, I will post back.

Thanks for your help Martin, much appreciated.

Glad you got it sorted. The reason the HDHR GUI scans weren't being used is you are using ATSC mode and not HDHR mode so you need to scan in NextPVR.

In NextPVR, on the Devices page, it says ReScan for Devices.  It did nothing.  I must have hit that button 20 times in the past few days.  That is the point I was making above, and why it wasn't using the 2nd HD device.

Agreed, I think something is going wrong the detection of your HDHR's on NextPVR since 1042E174 wasn't being found but it was being enabled instead of 1036B9BC That is why I wanted you to confirm what devices the Silicondust utility show and so sub could check on the 1042E174 startup detection.
