If pulling multiple lineups https://github.com/jesmannstl/tvmerge: An updated and faster tvmerge utility merges 2 or more xmltv files. Both written in node.js.

Can we supply a list of channel numbers to get? My starred channels list is tiny compared to the entire lineup.

Its not speed, I would think it makes more sense to limit the data you are using from the newspaper web sites that are paying for this data rather than increase it. Best try to stay under their radar.

Yes speed is a bad thing. The old perl one has an argument to go slower.

Most people schedule the EPG update in background during off hours and won't care if it takes a long time.

I don't know what happened to the reply I did an hour ago, as it appears to be lost.

I tried your instructions at the "windows install" page, but since I'm not a programmer, I guess I don't know what I'm doing. After installing node.js, I got lost. I noticed in 1. iii. it says leave everything default, so I did not check the "download dependencies" box, since it was unchecked by default, and I did nothing else but click "finish." Then on the next instruction I got errors that it didn't find a file.

So should I keep trying, or should I abandon it?

MC2XML appears to have been updated and works with Gracenote. Very easy setup!
