Record on faster SSD and then move to external HDD ?

Hi!

I would like to know if there is a way that NEXTPVR would be able to record on my SSD drive which also runs COMSKIP in parallel processing to speed up things and then automatically move the recording to an external (slower) one ?

Nothing automatic but some users have written Preprocessing scripts that perform similar actions. If you could live with manual processing there is an Archive function in NextPVR.exe and UI clients.

I've automated this previously using a post recording batch file. Worked quite well although there are some gotchas to watch out for such as handling what to do if you're watching an in progress recording when it completes.

I've since upgraded my system to larger capacity M2 SSDs so no longer need to move recordings. I do however back them up on completion to a NAS.
