Comskip version in Docker

Using latest docker container the version comskip included is 0.82.011. This sometimes fails with a segmentation fault.

However this issued appears to be addressed with comskip version 0.83.001. Could the container be updated to use the newer version?

It probably ships with the version that is in the Debian repo. There is no git buiild but you can probably do it yourself or check some of the custom repos.

I would also prefer the container to ship with 0.83.001 rather than having to maintain a custom build. Manual changes inside the container are easy to lose after an update.

The comskip build is whatever the .netcore Docker image provides and it look like that has not been updated for .netcore 10 which will be the next major release later this year.

kruviobli2, ever since Debian 12 I have always had trouble with Comskip segmentation faults regardless of verion. For me the seg fault happened every other time Comskip was run. An easy workaround I used to do is to run Comskip twice in the PostProcessing script so at lease one of them would succeed. You could also add error checking. A quick Google search for "add error checking with comskip" displayed a bash script example generated by AI.
