comskip - parallel proc - Invalid frame dimensions

I have started playing with comskip again and have seen a strange error that happens quite often during parallel processing, but NOT during post-processing.

Depending on the show, when comskip is invoked running in parallel, I am seeing "Invalid frame dimensions" errors which eventually results in a zero length edl file.  However, if I run the same show as a post process, comskip works fine.  

Anyone else seeing this?  what could be causing this type of error?

More errors message are expected during parallel processing because of the error/retry loop at end of stream logic that is used. Are the files ok?

As stated, a zero byte EDL file results at the end of the process. the recording plays fine, but consequently, no commercial skipping. (using Matrix 19.0 as client)

Sorry I need a coffee, I should leave the answering for parallel processing users, I don't see the point in generating the extra disk activity.

Out of curiousiity if you play the stream live with ffplay do you get that message repeating too. I know that in v5 there are more of those errors at the beginning that I didn't see in v4, but for me they disappear.

I am not sure I follow you?  If I am watching live, I am not recording and comskip is not invoked (comskip is generating the errors)

When you watch live the stream is the same as a recording. Internally comskip uses ffmpeg the same as ffplay and you should see similar ffmpeg messages in a console window.

when I first started ffplay, I saw a couple/three of those "Invalid frame dimensions" errors, but shortly after, the play seemed to be flawless, with no additional errors being generated.

Strange, I didn't even notice the drawdowns ! о.о
