Will new release fix my audio synch issues?

I haven't upgraded since last September.  Since I can't revert back, if the new release doesn't fix my long-standing issues with synchronization of audio, I will probably leave it at that version.  Hoping that it was addressed somehow, since it works fine with other players.

We have no crystal ball since we never figured out why you were having problems in the first place, but there are notable improvements in NextPVR.exe and yauiclient 3 which I should be releasing soon so it is worth a try.

There is no database change in this version, so if you backup you can restore the program folder and config.xml to go back.

Well, the good news was that it seemed to fix the issue, BUT an older recording was very choppy. Then the update to the update MAY have fixed that. I will keep watching with fingers crossed. If it is fixed, after all this time, I hope that there is an "aha" moment, i.e. "we changed/fixed ____ so that must have been the issue. It made no sense to me that every other player I used worked perfectly fine, but NextPVR did not.

There was several improvements around seeking and av sync in this release, so good to hear there was some improvement for you.

Without logs, we can only guess... But, by default NextPVR uses tuners in opposite order for recordings and live viewing. So, if you have multiple tuners (in NextPVR), then it is likely you have some problem or misconfiguration of those. (It could be a signal/antenna issue, it could be a failing tuning device, it could be some configuration issue with the channel settings on one of tuners, etc.)

I spoke too soon.  Recorded Jimmy Kimmel Live last night.  Went to play it back today and it's choppy.  Opened VLC and it plays fine.  Closed NPVR, opened it, started recording again, and it was not synched well and then it went to choppy.  This happened skipping ahead, then it happened just picking a point to watch, then I let it run from the beginning.  It behaved the same in all situations. 

I uploaded all the files created for that recording and the log file, sent you a DM with the link, Sub, Martin you have access via GMail you gave me long ago, shared.

Thanks. I've had a quick look and the file seemed to be playing well. I didn't see any obvious signs of problems.

If you just start NextPVR, then open that file, is it choppy? does the problem depend on skipping?

As I stated, I tried 3 things:

1) Skipping with the keys
2) Just clicking on a spot to start at
3) Letting it run from the beginning

#3 was after starting NextPVR

I probably had the best skipping experience with closed captioning enabled I've every had with NextPVR so it is something about you configuration of LAV.
