No, then you already use software decoding. So, what you should do is rather only try different decoders. Try as many as you can and see if any of them help.

im still struggling with this, sorry!

I noticed that when recording the Svideo source with the PVR350 (using winTV2000) have to select 'external 2' as the display option.

Is there a corresponding setting in GBpvr?

(note: I havent tried to set up the Fusion dvb-t1 card in GBpvr yet) one step at a time!

When you add your capture source, where it in the picture says "capture source internal tuner", you can change that to something like what you want. I don't remember exactly. I had do a few trial-and-error runs to get it right.

thanks Sub,

I'll try that tonite.

Also, how do you determine if its capture device 1 or 2? Or is that only use for how its listed (ie as the primary or secondary recording device?)

I'm quite sure what you are trying to ask.

If you've only got one Hauppauge capture device, then it'll be device #1. If you have multiple Hauppauge capture devices, then you might be able to tell the order from the Window's device manager. This is unrelated to the 'SVideo 2' thing, which is just the second svideo input on the device.

Ok,

Since i have 1 PVR350, that should be listed as capture device #1 as there is only 1 Hauppage card!

Then when i get around to configuring the DVICO Fusion DVB-T1 card that will also be listed as capture device #1, since there is only 1 of those cards too!

Makes sense now, but i was thinking it was referring to capture device 1 and capture device 2 (no reference to duplicate devices using the same drivers).

I cant emphasize how enthusiastic i am to get this working! Thanks for all your support!

I will keep at it!

I finally got the PVR350 to work!!!! HOORAY!

What i had to do was go into the config,
then add capture source, and named it PVR350,
EPG: none and Channel changer: none
then settings: PVR350,Australia,Capture device #1, then Svideo external tuner, then ok.

From this point i would select 'update EPG' and it would tell me that the source needs to be saved before the EPG is imported (even though there is no EPG)

I then hit 'Add' and enter teh channel name 'Foxtel' and nominate a channel number '1'
Next i hit update EPG again and then OK.

It restarts GBpvr and i have to go back into the config to view the channels.
It has displayed the channel as 99 or 100 and if i try to view this on live TV i get black and white with distorted sound, or only sound.

However i discovered that if i change the channel back to 1 or 2, it will work properly!

sub, Could that be a bug, cause i didnt see that in wiki.

Big Grin im glad i have the PVR350 running now!

(next step: setting up the DVICO DVB-T1
