DVD iso or VOB playback possible

hmmm, and mine isn't. Maybe myVideos isn't telling GBPVR it's a DVD?? So it doesn't get picked up by the DVD routines and is just using the normal playback routines??

Its pretty similar, with a few minor differences. It actually uses entirely different routines for playback than video files, and so you'll definitely be seeing the correct player, since the regular video player cant play DVD files.

Are you expecting something that you're not seeing?

Just tried it with Kung Fu Hustle (region 3) iso that I ripped. Now if only the remote would select the English Subtitles. Its also lagging about every 5 seconds it lags for a second, then plays for another 5 sec, lags for 1 sec. repeat continuously... It progresses along in the film.. just lags... not even full screen. Think its my computer?

dual 550mhz, Intel Tyan 440bx, MSI branded ATI Theatre 550pro, 512 ram, 80gb HD (storage where movies and music goes), 8gb 'main drive' for all the softwares...

Did you try pressing the yellow key (Ctrl-Y) to cycle between the subtitles.

Its not something I've come across. All I can suggest is try a different video decoder, and make sure you're using the default 'DVD Navigator' - not one of the other ones. It could also be cause by software like ffdshow or reclock if you have these installed.

I did have the Cyberlink Video decoder. And the Nero video decoder. Do I change the settings under Mpeg2 playback or dvd playback?

edit: just switched to Nero Decoder. No lag. Is Cyberlinks software worth anything at all?

i prefer the cyberlink one, it works best on my machine. just go with the way you think is the best.
dscalar is always a valid option (free too).

I guess i was just expecting maybe marks like a comskipped mpeg with the chapters, or when i hit fast forward or skip forward, that I'd skip chapters rathers than the regular 1 minute and 30 seconds. Only the latter is important.

No, there is nothing like that.

I wanted to be consistent, so I use skip the same way through out the application. This was no major loss for me, as I've never really found myself using DVD chapter markers. I find it much more useful to have the normal 1 minute skip. That said, if you want to access chapter 12, just type 1-2-enter.
