Looks like you dont have BDA drivers installed. You must have the older proprietary drivers.

I dont know. I'd guess the dvico website would be a good first place to look.

Its possible they've changed the names of the drivers. If so, bda.ini will need to be updated to reflect the new names. You can find the names using graphedit. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...+graphedit

Hi,

I just (made the mistake of it would seem) installed the Beta 2_4 drivers for the Nova-T USB2 and now I get the cannot find filter issue:

VERBOSE FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: Hauppauge Nova USB2 DVB-T TV Receiver
ERROR Failed to find BDA tuner filter: H

GraphEdt shows the filter and WinTV 2000 works ok. I haven't reverted the drivers yet as I was hoping that I would achieve a little more stability with these 'latest' drivers.

Any thoughts? Things to check?

Thanks,
C.

OK - so I think this was a hardware issue. Often, Windows would not recognise the device at all, i.e. it knew a USB device had been plugged in but it didn't get a device instance ID or whatever they call it from the device.

I think this is a common issue with the Nova-Ts and they do seem to get a bit confused. I plugged it in to my laptop and initially it had the same problem. I left it unplugged for about 5 mins and plugged it in again and it was recognised - so either it is faulty, on too long a cable or definately might benefit from a powered hub.

I'm not sure why it initially worked with WinTV then not GBPVR - maybe WinTV didn't release the driver in time??

C.
