Hello,

I am using GB-PVR with a Hauppauge Nova-S DVB card (BDA-drivers). Scanning TV channels in general works fine (Astra Astra 1B, 1C, 1E, 1F, 1G, 1H, 2C), however GB-PVR doesn't find all of my German TV channels (e.g. ZDF, SAT.1 und RTL are missing).

The TechnoTrend BDA Media Center Application has no problems finding the channels.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Same configuration (Nova-S PCI, newest BDA-drivers), same problems (GB-PVR only finds some of the channels on Astra and not the German ones). I doubt it is hardware related as both the Hauppauge software as well as other TV packages get good reception.

@rmhoffmann: have you found a solution?
@all: any more thoughts?

have you set up the LNB setting correctly. Read somewhere that the settings for GBPVR are 10600, 10714, 9750 for the 3 lnb frequency boxes (assuming universal LNB) (in order down the page) (not in front of GBPVR cant be more specific). I had problems when I had 9750, default, 10600 in lnb tuning boxes. It got some but not all channels.

Also have you checked that the transponder frequencies are actually in the file you are tuning from? The tuning file might be incomplete.

Users in UK have in some cases reported better result if they set BDAScanType to 2... don't know if that would help you guys, though.

thanks so much for your quick replies! I followed Kevl's advice and it worked like a charm. The LNB-settings I used are: 9750, 11700 and 10600.
