DVB PCI recommendations....

Morning all......long time lurker, first time poster!!! Lovely bit of software Sub....

I'm finally getting round to setting up my dvb/freeview PVR.
Anyone have any points/pros/cons of the various cards available?. Main options are the haupp nova-t, the twinhan, or the blackgold.

Also, is the twinhan card sold under the "visionplus" brand in the UK? seems to appear alot when googling for the twinhan.

Nova-t works well for me on Freeview, the aerial out/pass through is hopeless though, if you're thinking of connecting anything to it use a splitter before the card.

No idea about the Twinhan/Visionplus query.

Am planning multiple cards but all fed from my distribution amplifier so shouldn't be using the output. TV display through MVP so not needed there either.

I'm using twin 90009 Nova-T's here (UK) & they work fine.

I'm using the old 909 nova-t and the nova-t usb2 without too many issues
My understanding the twinham and visionplus are the same product on the dtv card you mention, their other products i have no idea.

The Visionplus cards are twinhan.

I have a Visionplus mini ter PCI card working perfectly with the latest BDA driver from twinhan.

I think it's 909 and 90002. All nova-t's are Model 909 on the box but the older ones with a single aerial socket and different chipset are what gb-pvr knows as a 909.

The later models use a conexant chipset and have an aerial out socket and are the 90002's, I think there's a label on the card itself. Mine were 90002's so didn't investigate any other differences between the two.

Yep the proper 909 is an older design that was really a re-badged technotrend product. You will be hard pressed to find one of these nowdays, and the 90002 have better sensitivity on the tuners.
