Hi there.

Apparently my TV tuner card isn't powerful/sensitive enough to pick up some TV stations, which my TV can pick up. In particular, it's SBS, and I'm in Melbourne, Australia (frequency is 536500).

Could anyone recommend a good card, that can pick up this signal?

you need a better aerial , all pc tuner cards need really good signal
there is no tuner card that will match a tv tuner

I'm sure the signal's fine.

I know other Australians have been able to receive SBS on their TV cards. Last time I posted about not being able to get that station, I got advice to get a better card. I'm finally getting around to it now...

ok fine waste your money

the signal doesnt need to be fine it needs to be perfect Smile

whats the tuner card you have and whats the others have that say it works

just because your tv gets the station doesnt mean your signal is good

If I knew what card other folks have, I wouldn't be asking.

How many splitters?
can you see signal strength on your tv if you go into the channel setup menu so you can compare signal strength with the channels your card actually does receive?
when you scan the stations are you sure its actually scanning the correct frequency ?

post your logs
