SearchGuide Not Functioning

First off, let me say how impressed I am with this program. I've only had it working for about 24 hrs, but it's taken my PVR to a new level of functionality. But my problems is with the SearchGuide. When I select it from the main menu, the screen briefly appears and then quickly goes back to the main menu. I did a search on these forums but didn't find anything like this. What would cause this? I have a PVR-350 using the TV out, and I'm using Zap2It.

Last night it started working fine. Then, this morning just before leaving for work, it started acting up again. This time when I select SearchGuide, it went directly to play mode. Not sure if it was a TV channel or a recording since it was time to leave for work. Oh well. Tonight I'll get a copy of that log regardless of how well it's working.

Just found another symptom. The SearchGuide works fine if I use the remote, but not if I use the computer keyboard or mouse.

Edit: It does work properly with the mouse. Only screws up with the keyboard.

I too have this problem. If it helps I have a PVR 350 also. In my testing, when I use the mouse the Search Guide function works correctly repeatedly, however when I use the keyboard or remote it typically does not work, taking me directly to live TV. Since the remote sends keystrokes this makes sense to me.

Once in a while the keyboard/remote will work properly. I can't reproduce it consistently though, but I'll give it some more time. This problem showed up for me after upgrading to version 0.9413.

Just upgraded to 95.11 and as the search function now has a text input field, it becomes obvious one wants to use the PC keyboard to enter characters. The symptom above apears.

On the PC monitor the black screen telling you playback is being send to your PVR-350 TV out appears. However when you look at the TV screen, it shows the search screen as it is supposed to.
The cursor and pg up and down keys seem to work properly, but pressing a character triggers the "black playback" window. When you continue typing the black screen start to apear and disapear after each next keystroke.

Already when using the keyboard's Enter key on the main menu to start the search function, it pops up the black window. If you select search with either mouse or Hauppauge remote, all goes well.

I dont have my PVR350 in my machine these days, so I cant test it myself. If you disable the TV out on the PVR350, does it work correctly?

With TV out disabled all goes well.

In fact "all" goes well when TV out enabled,..... as long as you only watch the TV screen.
Just the PC screen pops up the "playback on tv out" window when typing a character or pressing enter. Once you press a cursor key the screen is restored. Between the keystrokes you briefly see the regular screen appear and then the black window again.
