After upgrading to the latest release of GBPVR, the mute button on my Hauppauge PVR250 remote control is not functioning in GBPVR.

I am sure there is not a problem with the button itself, as I can use it to mute Windows when GBPVR is not running.

Anyone else who have experienced this?

Could someone please try the mute button on the Hauppauge remote in GBPVR and see if it is working?

Hang on a sec..... Yup works. Only after I removed the VOLUP and VOLDOWN keys in gbpvr section. After that volume and mute works OK. This is with the 45 button remote playing through the PVR350

Thanks, guys! I will try to remove the volup/voldown in the remote.ini file to see if this helps, and report back (will not be back home to try it before friday).

BTW, I am using the old 34(?) button remote. Any other changes in remote.ini required?

ok dont dont dont remove the volup/voldown in the old remote, you wont be able to move left or right. errr i have no more ideas, mute was always set to "m" which never seemed to do anything. removing mute im pretty sure wont work, and you cant remove volup/voldown. i think you are up that creek, whats its name?

OK! The mute button worked with version 0908. I don't know if there are any differences between the gb-pvr section in irremote.ini in 0908 vs 0910. If anyone have the gb-pvr section from 0908 irremote.ini, I could try to replace the current section with the 0908 one.

You could try

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">MUTE={app(0x80000)}[/QUOTE]

which is Hauppauge's default setting for Mute; I find that this works quite well (m doesn't work for me either, but to be honest, this release is the first time I actually tried to mute).

Thanks,

it worked for me also, Rtiangha!

I have made 5 changes in the irremote.ini GP-PVR section to get the old 34 button hauppauge to work; if someone is struggling with this remote, I can send them my irremote.ini file.
